Robert Rainey Parramore's Obituary
Robert Rainey Parramore, 83, passed away on Friday, December 11, 2020 in Tallahassee Florida.
Rainey was born August 31, 1937 in Quincy Florida to Robert Willis and Margaret Adair Parramore. He served as a member of the United States Army from October, 1958 to 1961. He was a member of the United States Postal Service from 1961 until he retired in 1992. He served as the Quincy Postmaster from 1982 until his retirement. He was a parishioner at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Quincy. Rainey was a founding member of the Wetumpka Volunteer Fire Department (1988) where he served as the board president until this past October of 2020.
Rainey is preceded in death by his beloved wife Judith. He is survived by his six children and their spouses: James Parramore (Jessie), Jeanne Murphy (Don), Jacqueline Ayers (Bryan), Joel Parramore (Terri), Jonathan Parramore (Heather), and Jennifer Skipper (Jamie). He is also survived by his two brothers: Mike Parramore (Marie) and Don Parramore (Jennifer).
Rainey was a loving grandfather to his fifteen grandchildren, Makayla, Morgan, Joshua, Noah, Reece, Ella Grace, Jenna, Brandon, Dylan, Steven, Amandaa, Gabriel, Katie, Christina and Emily.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, December 15th, 2020 at Hillcrest Cemetery in Quincy. Face masks and social distancing is appreciated. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Wetumpka Volunteer Fire Department.
