Richard Wright Pippel's Obituary
Richard "Dick" Pippel was born in Kensington, PA to Edna & Herbert Pippel. He attended Glassboro High School and played varsity football. Dick earned a BA in Economics from Duke University, spent his career in banking and served as a Lieutenant Junior Grade in the US Navy in the Korean War. Dick married Delores Lacy on April 11, 1953 and had a long, happy marriage. He was a deacon at Fellowship Presbyterian Church in Tallahassee. Dick was a kindhearted man, loving husband and Father. He had a soft spot for animals and enjoyed playing golf. Dick and Lorrie made their home in Tallahassee. He is survived by his wife Lorrie, son Doug and daughter Holly, and preceded in death by sons Craig and Todd Pippel. Service to be held at 2 PM on Saturday, September 11, at Fellowship Presbyterian Church, 3158 Shamrock St S, Tallahassee, FL 32309, with a short reception immediately after.
