Reva Wilson's Obituary
Reva Harper Wilson, age 84, died peacefully on June 8, 2021 in Tallahassee, Florida.
Reva was born March 14, 1937 in White Oak, Kentucky to Kelly and Lida Harper.
She was married to William (Bill) Wilson on May 12, 1956. They began to raise their family in Richmond, Indiana until 1969 when they moved their family to Florida and settled in Alachua County.
Reva was a loving mother and devoted wife. She was a homemaker while her children were small, later working in a grocery store as a deli manager.
She accepted Christ into her life at an early age and faithfully served the Lord in the Archer Church of the Nazarene until 2014 at which time she moved to Tallahassee, Florida and attended Piedmont Park Christian and Missionary Alliance Church.
Love for family was an important part of her life. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. To some she was known as “Nana”, to others, “the grandma with the candy”. No matter the title, she was loved by all of them. Highlights of her summer would include a trip to attend an annual family reunion in West Liberty, KY. She cherished her visits with siblings and other relatives catching up on the latest news. She loved to give hugs to anyone who needed one.
Reva was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and eight of her siblings. She is survived by three siblings-Clayton Harper (Linda), North Carolina, Murlene Smith and James Harper, both of Indiana. Additionally, she is survived by her five children, Glenn Wilson (Carol), Archer, FL, Doug Wilson (Allison), Williston, FL, Joseph Wilson (Faye), Archer, FL, Teresa Gager (Shane), Tallahassee, FL, Billy Wilson(Christine), Bronson, FL, plus 12 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 26, 2021 at 2:00 PM, Archer Church of the Nazarene, Archer, FL. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 27, 2021 at 3:00 PM, Piedmont Park Christian and Missionary Alliance, Tallahassee, FL.
