Patty Christiansen 's Obituary
Patricia (Patty) Christiansen, 64, passed away peacefully at her home with loved ones by her side on September 25, 2015.
Patty was born February 23, 1951, in Knoxville, TN to Angie and Emmett Lowery. When she was eight years old, they moved to Clearwater, FL where she attended local schools and made lifelong friends. Upon graduation from Clearwater High School, she attended the University of South Florida, earning her degree.
In 1984, Patty moved to Tallahassee with her husband Tom and son Matt. She joined the Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce family where she worked for thirty years as Senior Systems Administrator.
Patty was a Master Gardner and loved being in her garden. She was a compassionate friend to all animals and treated them as family. Patty was a beautiful and caring person.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Tom, son Matt and his wife, Beth, granddaughters Lindsey and Lauren Nichols, brother and sister in law Bill and Ann Carroll, nephews Brad Carroll, Chris and Erica Carroll, brother in law Donnie Christiansen, sister in law Mary Rose McWhirter and niece Paige Barrett. Patty also leaves behind her beloved pets Wally and Big Rick.
She is preceded in death by her parents and brother Butch Lowery, and her parents in law Doris and Don Christiansen.
Patty’s life will be celebrated at City Church, 1200 West Tharpe St. Saturday, October 3, at 11:00am. A reception will follow in the fellowship hall. The family requests you come with happy memories and casual attire.
