Patrick Allen Loebig's Obituary
Patrick Allen Loebig, 63, of Tallahassee, Florida, passed away on October 30, 2023, after a valiant battle with cancer. He was born on November 4, 1959, to John and Marie Loebig in Britt, Iowa. After graduating from Iowa Falls High School, he went on to earn his Bachelor's at Iowa State University and his Juris Doctorate at Nova Southeastern University, Shepherd Broad College of Law.
After graduating in 1986, he landed his first job as an attorney at a law firm in Fort Lauderdale, Florida before moving to Tallahassee with his wife Kim and young son, Ben to work for the State of Florida. Patrick was passionate about his career and was a force in his field - acting as the longest-serving Tax Payer’s Rights Advocate. In addition to his work, Patrick later found his passion in volleyball, working up the ranks as a well-respected volleyball official.
He is survived by his loving wife, Kim, his son, Ben, daughter, Samantha (Dylan), siblings, Janice (Mike), Nancy (Norm), Mark (Yvonne), John (Vicki), Sarah (Jeff), Max (Celia), Anne (Doug), Peggy, in-laws, Bruce and Judy, sisters-in-law, Kristy and Kelli (Kevin), bonus grandson, Andrew, and many cherished, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Patrick was preceded in death by his mother, Marie, father, John, and mother-in-law, Janelle White.
A memorial celebration to honor Patrick's life will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2024, in his favorite place, Okaloosa Island, Florida. Further details will be provided at a later time. All are welcome. Lifesong Funeral Home in Tallahassee, Florida, is assisting the family with the arrangements.
Patrick will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched. May he rest in peace.
