Orlando was one of my gym buddies at Los Volcanes Senior Center in ABQ, NM. We were both vets. We checked in with each other each time we were both there, seeing if either had been up to mischief or how our health was. When I asked Orlando, his reply was always, "Like my Dr. says, I'm in good shape for the shape I'm in!" & we'd both laugh. He was an inspiration to me & many others at the gym, dragging his wounded body in day after day, & working out. He was a kind & funny man. And he had the best tee shirts!!
Orlando, I truly miss you! It was one thing for you to disappear to FL to be with your son, whom you loved. It's another thing entirely for you to be permanently gone. Los Volcanes will never be the same.
