Nate Scott 's Obituary
Nathan “Nate” Edward Scott, age 54, of Crawfordville, FL left this earth Thursday, January 11, 2018 for his deer stand in the sky.
Nate was born in Quincy, FL, February 22, 1963. He had many interests but was an avid hunter and passionate about his hunting club and fellow hunters. His career in law enforcement included Gadsden County Sheriff Office; Sneads Police Department and Department of Corrections at CMHI in Chattahoochee and ACI in Sneads. His firm belief in God supported him in his struggles and ultimately gave him peace.
Nate is proceeded in death by his wife, Dawn McNally and parents Thomas and Susie Scott.
He leaves to cherish his memories, one brother, Harold Scott (Martha), two sisters, Virginia Scott Cloud and Jan Scott Suber (Mitch); and his step-son Ashton McNally. He was Uncle Nate to two nieces and four nephews and Great Uncle Nate to six nieces and two nephews. He also leaves behind his loved and faithful companion, his dog, Oz.
Services to celebrate the life of Nate are as follows, visitation Saturday, February 24th 10:00am with Memorial Service immediately following at 11:00am at Thomas Memorial Baptist Church in Quincy. Lifesong Funeral Home (www.lifesongfunerals.com or 850.627.1111) is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Big Bend Hospice House, where Nate was cared for in his final days.
