Natalia Shalnova's Obituary
Natalia Shalnova was born on August 12, 1953, in Belarus. She spent much of her adult life in Latvia before moving to the United States in February 2017. With characteristic determination and resilience, she began learning English soon after her arrival and proudly became a U.S. citizen in 2023 at the age of 70.
Natalia was known for her extraordinary cooking, her love of music, and her infectious sense of humor. She had a gift for writing poetry and a lifelong passion for singing. Warm and gregarious, she brought light and laughter to every room she entered. Her joy was contagious. Her presence, unforgettable.
Natalia is survived by her daughter, Natalia; her son, Vladimir; and her two beloved granddaughters, Natalia and Milana. She also leaves behind her cherished dog, Laska, who brought her immense comfort and companionship through the years.
A devoted Orthodox Christian, Natalia’s unwavering faith and inner strength guided her throughout her life. She faced every challenge with courage and fought bravely until the very end.
Her warmth, humor, and boundless love will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her. Her ever-loving presence still fills the air. She will forever be remembered in a positive light.
