Michael Latimer's Obituary
Robert Michael "Mike" Latimer, 71, of Tallahassee, passed away December 12, 2025. He was a beloved husband, father and grandfather.
Mike is survived by his wife of 49 years, Maureen Latimer; daughters, Melissa Merrill and Theresa Finch (son-in-law, John); three grandsons, Isaiah, Noah and Josiah Finch; sister, Nancy Pursley (Michael); brother, Ron Latimer; his mother, Ethelyne Holloway Ensor; and five nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Rufus K. Latimer.
Mike was born December 1, 1954, in Perry, Florida. He was a civil engineer for several companies during his career, and an avid guitar player. He loved the outdoors hiking and fishing in the mountains when he was able.
Mike loved playing with his grandsons and teaching them life skills that would be important at some point in their lives. He will be forever in our hearts. May you rest with the angels.
A visitation will be held from 10:00 - 11:00 AM, Friday, December 19, 2025, at Thomasville Road Baptist Church. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM. The interment will immediately follow the service in Roselawn Cemetery on Piedmont Drive.
