Mary Barber Dutton's Obituary
Mary Louise Dutton, 73, passed away Sunday, March 28, 2021. She was the daughter of Marvin Barber and Annette (Whittaker) Barber.
Mary graduated from Havana High School in June of 1965. After graduating high school, she married her high school sweetheart, Stuart (Gene) Dutton on June 11, 1966. She had their first of two children, Michelle, in November of 1967 while Gene was serving in the Military. She had their second child, Stuart Jr. in September of 1975. In the late 80’s throughout the mid 90’s, Mary was an active participant serving in concession at the go kart track in Blountstown, FL where her son raced. Mary worked in Finance and Accounting at Fringe Benefits Management Company in Tallahassee for over a decade. After retiring from a Florida state agency, she became a host for various RV parks alongside her husband Gene. Mary’s most rewarding accomplishments were being a loving and doting Mother and Mema. Her children and grandchildren were her biggest joys in life. Watching them succeed and be happy meant the world to her.
Mary is survived by her husband, Stuart E. (Gene) Dutton Sr. of Tallahassee, FL, daughter, Michelle Show of Tallahassee, FL, son, Stuart E. Dutton Jr. and his wife Heidi of Tallahassee, FL, her grandchildren, Allen DeCambra of Tallahassee, FL, Jacob DeCambra and wife Briana of Chesapeake, VA, Geena DeCambra of Tallahassee, FL, Stuart (Trey) Dutton of Tallahassee, FL, Taylor Dutton of Tallahassee, FL, and Alyssa Dutton of Tallahassee, FL.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Annette Barber of Havana, FL, and granddaughter, Lecia DeCambra of Tallahassee, FL.
A Memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, April 2, 2021 at the Tallahassee National Cemetery, 5015 Apalachee Parkway, Tallahassee, FL. In lieu of flowers, please send contributions for the family to 1998 Bannerman Road, Tallahassee, FL 32312. Lifesong (lifesongfunerals.com or 850/627-1111) is assisting the family with arrangements.
