Martha Rasor Cureton's Obituary
Martha Lucinda Rasor Cureton age 90 was born August 4, 1934, in Hot Springs, Arkansas to Frank and Hazel Rasor. She died March 21, 2025, with her family at her side in Tallahassee, Florida. Martha was a longtime resident of Tallahassee and was married to her Leon High School sweetheart David ‘Dick’ Cureton for 55 years prior to his passing in 2009.
Martha loved her family. She is survived by 3 sons David (wife Val), Brett (wife Susan) and Michael (fiancé Beth) and was preceded in death by her son Keith in 2006. She also was delighted to have 4 grandchildren Haley, Cole, David and Caroline and one great-grandchild, Joon. Martha is also survived by her sister Betty of Houston, Texas.
Martha attended Florida State University where she was a member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority. She spent her adult life in Tallahassee raising children then working many years for Big Bend Transit Corp. She enjoyed her many lifelong friends, spending time at her family home at St. Teresa Beach and above all loved music and the performing arts. Martha was a longtime member of the Tallahassee United Methodist Church. She will be dearly missed by her family and loved ones.
Martha will be laid to rest at a private family service next to her beloved son Keith at Tallahassee Roselawn Cemetery. She asks in lieu of flowers or gifts that anyone so inclined send flowers to a living loved one.
