Marion E. DeBellis 's Obituary
Marion Ellen Andersen DeBellis, 88, formerly of North Miami Beach, passed away on March 31st in Tallahassee. She is survived by her son, Joseph DeBellis of Tallahassee.
Marion grew up in Racine, Wisconsin and attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She grew tired of the cold and relocated to Miami, FL where she spent most of her life. It was in Miami that she met her husband, Mike DeBellis through a mutual friend. He preceded her in death in 1995.
She was an Executive Secretary for Cordis in Miami and avid church goer at Fulford United Methodist Church where she was a member. She moved to Tallahassee in 2012 to be close to her son. She joined Saint Paul’s United Methodist in Tallahassee. She was also very active with the Alzheimer’s Project in Tallahassee.
Other survivors include her cousin, Marilyn Thompson of Milwaukee, WI; and Marilyn’s daughter, Vanessa Thompson of Chicago, IL.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 7th at 11am at Saint Paul’s UMC, food and fellowship will follow the service.
