Mainor Alfred Moore Jr.'s Obituary
One of Gadsden County’s Master Electricians has left his earthly vehicle to carry on in Spirit. Mainor is survived by two sisters (Mary Ellen Moore Callaway, Debra Moore Quintana), two nieces/one nephew (Chantel Pickens, Chesleigh Strickland, Richard Eichhorst), five grand nieces/nephews, and [as Mainor might chime in to say] “and a bushel or two of other kinfolk.”
It is with a heavy heart that this news is being broadcasted but in honor of our brother’s life, we would like to invite ALL family, friends, and acquaintances to a celebration of his journey these past 62 years. This beautiful gathering of love will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2022 from 4:00p.m. to 7:00p.m. at:

For those who are not able to attend but are curious, Mainor was born in Cairo, GA, lived his earliest years on a small farm in Whigham, GA, resided in Gadsden County since 1969, and was a major pillar at the family business (Moore Electric) -- as Mainor would also put it, “since I was knee-high to a grasshopper,”
While Mainor was a master mind in his craft, he was sooo very much more to those who really knew him. Mainor was not only loving, he was quite philosophical, and had a heart of gold with a very strong Soul to have taken on and survived so many AP teachers along this life’s journey. Many people don’t know this but our brother used to read the encyclopedias as a favorite past-time experience.
You did a good job brother and we are very proud of you for letting your Light shine along a path of so many challenges, lessons, and experiences! We are very grateful for your endurance, strength, love, and wisdom to rise above those experiences and still touch the lives of so many people along the way. Until we meet again, may you carry on in Divine Love and Light as you continue your Soul’s Path.
