Lindsey Kay McIntyre's Obituary
Lindsey Kay McIntyre, 38, passed away on Tuesday, September 19, 2023.
Lindsey was born December 26, 1984 to John K. and Tammy McIntyre. She attended Lake Tallavana Christian School and graduated from Godby High School. She also graduated from Flagler College with a Bachelor's degree in business and owned and operated Lindsey's Critter Care. She was also a detailed caregiver for her grandparents for many years.
Lindsey deeply loved and cared for her family deeply. She always put others first and had such a sweet and precious spirit. She was a joy to be around and blessing to spend time with.
Lindsey was a lover of animals, especially horses and dogs. She loved barrel racing and trail riding. She won several State championships and barrel racing competitions.
Lindsey is survived by her father, John K. McIntyre (Carla); her mother, Tammy McIntyre; paternal grandmother, Bernice McIntyre; grandparents, Fred and Delores Wallace; siblings, Keri Godwin (Roger); Justin Ratcliff (Kim); Leslie Cook (Lee); and Lindsey Rushing (Brad); several special aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews; and one special friend, Dawson Leggett. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Ashley Thomas McIntyre; maternal grandparents, Leonard I. "Turk" and Dorothy Kay Thurman; two uncles, Chris Thurman and Kirk Craven; two aunts, Deborah Casseaux and Denise Bass; and two cousins, Dowling Barfield and Matt Craven.
The McIntyre family will be hosting a celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, October 5, 2023 at Lifesong Funeral Home Chapel, 20 S. Duval St., Quincy, FL 32351. Tholley Taylor is assisting the McIntyre family with service arrangements.
