Kimberly Kae Moen's Obituary
Kimberly Kae (Swartz) Moen passed away in the early morning hours on July 2, 2025, from an inoperable and incurable brain tumor. Kimberly was surrounded by her family as she took her final breaths in this world and moved on to the arms of those who preceded her in death- her husband William Moen, her parents June and Kenneth Robert Swartz, uncle George Schuerger Jr., her aunts Anne McLees, Georgia Meyer, Sandy Zeller, Sue Davis, Sonnie West, and Connie Schuerger.
She is survived by her loving, lifelong stepparents Arthur and Linda Kimball, aunt Judy Claudius (Bruce), sister Karen Semone (Mark), nieces Danielle Finno (Michael), Katherine Semone, daughters Lynn Travaglino and Amelia May (Greg), granddaughters Madison Rust (Matt), Olivia Travaglino, Beau May, Wyatt May, Delta May, and great grandchildren Maverick Rust and Malakai Rust.
Born in North Kansas City, she resided in St. Petersburg and most recently Tallahassee, Florida. She was a graduate of Largo High School, class of 1977. Kimberly was known to her family, friends and strangers as one of the sweetest people you’d ever meet. Kimberly had great style, passed down from her mother and aunts, she was a remarkable cook, and she enjoyed book club and mixing up the perfect signature cocktail.
If you would like to honor her memory with a gift, her family suggests Big Bend Hospice (her care was impeccable) https://bigbendhospice.charityproud.org/Donate or the Glioblastoma Foundation (more research must be done.) https://glioblastomafoundation.org/get-involved/donate
A celebration of life will be held among her family on July 25, 2025 at White Chapel Cemetery , 6600 NE Antioch Rd, Gladstone, MO.
