Ms. Kim Marie Bateman's Obituary
Kim Marie Bateman of Sneads, FL, beloved mother of two by birth and many more by choice, died on July 4th, 2024, at the age of 59, leaving a void that can never be filled.
She was open minded and accepting of all and taught her children and grandchildren to love freely and widely. Kim was fiercely protective of those she loved and would do anything for her family. She believed in making the most of every moment and had an adventurous spirit while deeply enjoying the natural beauty from the front porch and the simple honor of feeding those around her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Shirley and Peter; her son, Brian; brothers Michael and Joey; and her husband of 29 years Harold Carlisle Bateman.
She is survived by her children Billy and Arielle, and stepchildren Shannon, Nikki, and Josh. Her partner Andy and his daughters Allison and Annetta. Her brother David, sisters Robyn and Lori and their children – Mandy, Stacy, Melissa, and Justin. And her grandchildren who brought her endless joy – Brian, Mimi, Audrey, Abi, Hayleigh, and Gen.
She will be remembered for her kindness and capacity to love, and for the many, many cakes and soul nourishing home cooked vegan meals she could whip up from scratch. Her love, guidance, wisdom, and recipes will be forever missed.
A service honoring her life and memory will take place at Sneads First United Methodist Church,
8042 Church St, Sneads, FL on Saturday July 13th at 11am. In lieu of flowers, her family would like any donations, whether in money or food, to be given to the food pantry at the church to continue her legacy of feeding all people.
She was an organ donor and her last gift to the world has already gone on to help multiple recipients. On her behalf, the family asks everyone to consider signing up for organ donation.
Enjoy every sandwich and relish each moment.
