Kenneth Kane's Obituary
Kenneth Charles Kane, 85, of Queens, New York, passed away peacefully in his home on November 9, 2025, while surrounded by his family.
Kenneth was a man who worked with his hands, paid attention to the details, and stayed steady through all of life’s seasons. Whether he was shaping wood, framing a photograph, or caring for those he loved, he approached life with patience and consistency.
Kenneth was born on July 17, 1940, to Francis Kane and Mary Langridge. He worked various jobs from a young age including delivery services through NYC, an ice cream shop, and constructing thermometers. This was the foundation of his strong work ethic that he carried throughout his life and in his career with BellSouth (AT&T) as a service consultant for 42 years.
Kenneth met the love of his life, Kathy Lorraine Herbert, in 1973 while in a bakery in Toms River, New Jersey. From their first humorous exchange, they went on to build a steady and loving marriage that shaped their family for decades.
He is survived by his daughters, Susan Kane, Monica Serie (Rob), Dawn Borden (Ian) and Shannon McCammon (Chris); his sons, Christopher (Jackie) and Jonathan; grandchildren, Jason Apgar, Emily Serie (Trevor), Connor and Aiden Borden, Jack, Charlie, Jeremiah, Lucian, Riley and Charolotte. His siblings include Karen Paradiso (Joe), and Richard Kane.
He is preceded in death by his sister Kathleen Sartoris.
A celebration of life will be held on December 28, 2025, at 4 P.M. at Fellowship at Midway Church in Midway, Florida.
