Kecia Dee Munroe, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on June 9, 2024, in Tallahassee, FL, at the age of 69. She was born on September 6, 1954, in Geneva, AL, to Patricia (Don)Cowles and Keith Glorfield and was a long time resident of Quincy, FL.
Kecia was a woman of many talents and passions. She had a successful career as a floral designer and her creativity and love for flowers shone through in her breathtaking arrangements. Kecia also had a natural talent for entertaining, performing for thousands of people with her warm, welcoming, beautiful voice as an on-air radio personality
Beyond her professional achievements, Kecia had a deep love for dancing. She had the privilege of dancing with the New York Ballet and with The Rockettes, showcasing her grace and talent. She believed in the therapeutic power of music and it played a pivotal role in her happiness for much of her life.
Kecia's true joy in life came from her family and friends. Her husband Jack, children Ainsley(Breezy) Taylor and Alexa(Brad) Seward, Grayson and Alicia Munroe and grandchildren Breeley, Blakeley, Kameron, Wyatt, Hunter, and Hannah, as well as her beloved dog Waylon were the center of her happiness. She cherished every moment spent with them and loved them unconditionally. Her husband was her soul-mate and their love could not be duplicated or replicated.
Kecia touched the lives of everyone she encountered. She had a magnetic presence that drew people in, and she genuinely cared for those around her. Kecia was a steadfast friend, always ready to lend a helping hand and make others feel valued and loved. Kecia’s devotion to her husband and her unwavering love for her family and friends will always be cherished and remembered.
Kecia was a woman of strong faith, and her love for God was evident in all aspects of her life. She lived by the motto, "Do small things with great love," and her acts of kindness and compassion left a lasting impact on others.
Kecia is survived by her loving husband , her children, sisters Tami and Donna, and her cherished grandchildren who were the joys of her life. She will be deeply missed by a host of cousins, nieces and nephews, all of her relatives “in love” that she gained after marrying her true love, Jack , and by all of her friends that she considered family.
Kecia was a true force on Earth and her presence will be felt forever. Her selfless love, compassionate heart and fiery strong spirit will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you share your memories of her and smile, keeping her light alive. Dance like nobody is watching. Forgive one another. Love each other wholeheartedly.
