Kathryn Sue Redd's Obituary
Kathyrn "Sue" Redd, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, departed this world on Monday, March 11, 2024, at the age of 71. Born on March 29, 1952, to Audie and Opal
Crutchfield, she leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and service to others.
Sue graduated from Liberty County High School and went on to earn her Bachelor's Degree in
Criminology from Florida State University, fostering a lifelong love for the Seminoles. Her career was dedicated to serving the State of Florida, with the majority of her professional life spent at the Agency for Health Care Administration, where she passionately advocated for senior care.
She built her life with her husband Wayne Redd. Sue was a loving mother to Portia and Monica,
and a cherished Grammy Sue to her four beautiful grandchildren, Lenox, Aubrey, Emelyn, and Gunnar, who brought immeasurable joy to her life. Her family was her greatest treasure, and she found immense happiness in painting, fishing, shopping, and traveling with them.
Sue’s faith was an integral part of her life, and she loved attending church, where she shared
her deep-rooted beliefs with loved ones and friends. Her warm spirit and kindness touched the lives of many.
She is survived by Wayne Redd, her children Portia and Michael Huston, Monica and Kristopher Reeves, as well as her four grandchildren Lenox and Emelyn Huston, Aubrey and Gunnar Reeves. Other survivors include her siblings; Jimmy and Elaine Brixhoff, Sherry and Gary Rankin, Sandra and Ben Holbert, Ronald Crutchfield, Danny and Lisa Crutchfield, and several nieces and nephews.
A private ceremony will be held to celebrate Sue's life. To those who knew and loved her, the
family kindly suggests honoring her memory by engaging in activities that bring joy, whether it
be fishing, creating something beautiful, taking a memorable trip, or simply doing something that
brings happiness that will honor her memory.
