Katherine Louder Norman's Obituary
"But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles." (Isaiah 40:31)
Born on March 8, 1957, in Bethesda, Maryland, Katherine "Kathy" Louder Norman was an inspiration and a beacon to so many in life. Kathy's faith was unwavering in the face of challenges including her battle with cancer. Her strength, resilience, positivity, and kindness radiated and inspired all those who crossed her path. In the words of her close friend, “She was a spark that was truly unique, a soul sent to this earth to share unconditional love, a spirit that brings light and hope wherever it goes, and a heart that demonstrates what caring and compassion for others can be.”
Kathy's home and heart were open to everyone. She never met a stranger, greeting every day and every person she met with warmth and love. An amazing cook, she was often hosting dinner or delivering food to friends and family. She found joy in the little things in life and especially loved working in her garden, fishing with her husband Mike, searching for sea glass, shopping for "treasures," driving her 1972 VW bug "Daisy," traveling the country to visit friends and family, and spending quality time with her grandbabies. She had a knack for making daily life magical, from holidays to her home to her children's and grandchildren's lives. Above all, Kathy was the ultimate caretaker and, down to her final moments on earth, looked after everyone around her, spreading joy and kindness.
Kathy is survived by her loving family and the many friends who adored her: her husband of 45 years, Mike Norman, Jr.; her daughters Katie Frasier Brugman, Amy Norman Tribo, Aubry Norman, and Molly Norman Roberts; her sons-in-law, Ricky Roberts, Jonathan Tribo, and Trevor Brugman; her grandchildren Brycelyn, Riley, Olivia, Stryker, Johanna, and Maeve; and her siblings Joe Louder (Portia), Mary Nixon, Steve Louder, Leslie O'Neal, Jody Norman (Judi), Cindy McCall (Charlie), Becky Daniel (Randy), and Mark Norman (Beth). She is predeceased by her parents, Earle and Louise Louder and her brother John Mark Louder. Kathy's love extended to her many nieces, nephews, and cousins as well as so many cherished friends.
A celebration to honor Kathy's life will be held on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at 4:00 P.M. EST at the Homestead Barn in Lloyd, 519 White House Road, Monticello, Fl. 32344. A program will follow reception of guests. We invite everyone to stay for refreshments, remembrance and fellowship.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in her memory to PanCAN (Pancreatic Cancer Action Network) or Big Bend Hospice in Tallahassee, Florida.
