June Pauline Zent's Obituary
June Pauline Zent, beloved mother, grandmother, and gifted artist, passed away on September 22, 2024 surrounded by her family. Born on July 14, 1937 in West Palm Beach, Florida, June was a remarkable woman whose creativity, passion for life, and love for art touched the hearts of everyone who knew her.
From a young age, June possessed a distinct artistic vision and an innate ability to see beauty in the world around her. A self-taught artist, she poured her heart into her creations, using pencil, pastel, watercolor, and oil paints to blend the beauty of nature with a deeply human touch. Her art, celebrated for its realism, captured dramatic landscapes, intricate flowers, and poignant portraits—especially her depiction of human hands, which became a signature element of her work. Visually captivating and emotionally profound, her pieces told universal stories of love and the healing power of human connection. June’s art inspired many and continues to resonate today.
Beyond her artistic talents, June was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend. She raised her children with the same care and devotion she gave to her art, encouraging them to see the world with wonder and to follow their own paths. She became an advocate for her son, Billy, who was born with nonverbal autism and intellectual disabilities. Throughout her life, June worked tirelessly to ensure Billy received the care and support he deserved. Her strength and determination were unparalleled. June was a fierce protector of Billy and a beacon of light for those navigating similar journeys.
She is survived by her six children, seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She is predeceased in death by her parents (Raymond Stoker Zent & Frances Lariscy Zent) and sister (Carol Marlene Mumford).
June will forever be remembered for her selflessness, her courage, and her deep, abiding love for her son and family. Though she is no longer with us, June’s spirit will forever live on in her art, in the hearts of those she loved, and in the lives of those she inspired.
