Joseph "Joe" Frank Humphrey's Obituary
Joseph "Joe" Humphrey, 85, of Tallahassee, FL, went to be with his Lord and Savior on March 5, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Joe was born in Chattahoochee, FL on July 4, 1939 to William James and Florence Forst Humphrey. He was a loving husband, father and granddaddy. He was an excellent fisherman and hunter and enjoyed fishing the Apalachicola River and Lake Talquin.
Joe graduated from Chattahoochee High School in 1957 and Florida State University in 1961 with a B.S. degree in Business Finance. He was in banking for 41 years with vast experience in Commercial and Construction Lending. He was City President of Peoples First Community Bank in Tallahassee for 15 years and retired in 2006.
Joe is survived by his wife, Dianne of 26 years; two sons, Kevin Humphrey (Kathleen) of Atlanta and Jason Humphrey of Tallahassee; granddaughters, Macey and Samantha Humphrey of Tallahassee; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Anne Humphrey; and two brothers, Donnie and Dick Humphrey.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, March 11th at Indian Springs Baptist Church, 5593 Veterans Memorial Drive, Tallahassee, FL 32309. Fellowship with the family will immediately follow the service in the Fellowship Hall.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Children's Fund at Indian Springs Baptist Church where Joe was a member.
