Joseph Percy Jennette's Obituary
Joseph Percy Jennette, 84, of Cairo, GA, and most recently staying in Tallahassee, passed away on November 1, 2016, at TMH. He is survived by his wife Daryle of Cairo, GA, his sister Jane Keller of Panama City, his children Julie Barnes of Dallas, TX, Emilie Jennette of Jackson, WY, Paul Jennette of Dryden, NY, Dorje Jennette of Davis, CA, and Tara Jennette-Brown of Tallahassee, as well as 7 grandchildren. The family will hold a private service and his ashes will be committed to the sea by the United States Navy.
Born in Franklin, TN, Mr. Jennette graduated from Georgia Tech and served honorably in the US Navy before starting his career as an architect in Nashville, TN, and later Tallahassee. He made his mark on significant buildings in both cities, including the Tennessee Performing Arts Center, the Murphy Center at Middle Tennessee State University, and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement headquarters in Tallahassee.
