Joseph Ezekiel Hornsby's Obituary
Joseph Ezekiel Hornsby, 76, passed away on Monday, November 28, 2022.
Joe was born to Martha and Albert Hornsby on January 18, 1946. He was additionally raised and loved by his foster parents, John and Stella McAfee. He worked at the Quincy Recreation Department, the Quincy Fire Department, the Quincy Police Department, and the Gadsden County Sheriff’s Department. He took pride in serving the people of his community. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandpa and will be dearly missed by all his friends and family.
Joe is survived by his daughter Joanna Golightly and three grandsons Aiden, Asher, and Axel Golightly. He was preceded in death by his parents, foster parents and his wife.
The service will be held at First Baptist Church Chapel in Quincy on Saturday, December 3, 2022, at 11am. Family will receive friends in the Chapel at 10am. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
