He referred to his brothers-in-law as “BIL” and they were all friends. His “BIL’s” were Brion Moss, San Francisco, Stephen Bryant and Chris Smith of Tallahassee and Kevin Wills of Holiday, FL. John was an accomplished billiards player and was a long time member of pool leagues. His love for Florida State Seminoles sports was immense, especially football and basketball. John was a quite a storyteller and loved to tell stories, some often embellished, of growing up and his escapades. He was an ingenious jokester, his wit and sarcasm was always quick and had everyone laughing. He often would assume the identity of one of the “Blues Brothers” from his favorite movie. John was a knowledgable WWII enthusiast and often talked about the family trip to Hawaii and visiting Pearl Harbor.
John “Johnny” Winn will be greatly missed especially for his sometimes unconventional but larger than life personality.
