John H Wallace Jr.'s Obituary
John H. Wallace, Jr, 57 of Quincy, Fl passed away peacefully on February 13, 2022 after a courageous battle with a debilitating illness.
He was born in Poughkeepsie, NY on June 1, 1964, son of the late John H. Wallace, Sr. And his surviving mother Gloria Jean Wallace (Jeanie Neville). He is survived by his wife, Doreen F. Wallace, four children
Tommy McComb (Heather); Amber Douglas; Sara Wallace (Katarina) and Tadd Wallace, Sr. (Stephanie). He is also survived by five sisters, Patricia Jessup, Mary Poskitt, Stephanie Williams, Sharon Terrelonge (Bruce), Tonja Jones (Chuck); eight grandchildren, Braelynn Schober, Elana Schober, Autumn Wallace, Kaylee Wallace, Taylor Wallace, Lily Ann Wallace, Alexia Wallace, Tadd Wallace, Jr. and beloved cousins, nieces and nephews.
John spent most of his working career in the construction field. After moving to Florida with his wife in 1997 and working several different jobs he landed a job at Jimmie Crowder Excavating. To most it would have been just a job but for John it was everything. His passion for working heavy equipment, lifelong friendships he gained and a mission to work harder than everyone else were some of the happiest years of his life. When he would return home after work, he would have the best stories to tell and his excitability telling them made you want to listen. He was devastated when an injury forced him to resign. His last job before his illness was managing the Bayhead Mobile Home Community in Tallahassee with his wife. Again, his passion for work and love for socializing made him loved by everyone.
As per John's wishes there will be no service but a party to celebrate his life. A Celebration of Life bonfire for all that wish to attend will be held at his residence 10437 Flat Creek Road, Quincy, FL 32351 at 5 PM on Saturday, February 19, 2022.
