John Martin Tigue's Obituary
John Martin Tigue passed away on February 21st, 2022 in Tallahassee, FL at the age of 76.
John was born in Franklin, Massachusetts to the late John Tigue and Mary (Long) Tigue on June 22nd, 1945. Aside from his time in the Marine Corps, John lived the majority of his life in Massachusetts and brought the accent with him to the South for his last 20 years, where he resided first in Miami and finally Tallahassee.
John was a cheerful man who could and would strike up conversation with just about anyone. He started each day with a cup of coffee, and would refill that cup as much as he could before bed. John loved all things mechanical and would spend hours learning about or building models of cars, airplanes, helicopters, and rockets.
Few things mattered more to John than his family. He is survived by his son Sean Tigue and granddaughter Katie, of Franklin, Massachusetts; daughter Katelyn Schelin and granddaughter Aleia, of Miami, Florida; and daughter Michelle Hadden, son-in-law William Hadden, and granddaughter Luna of Tallahassee, Florida. He is also survived by his four sisters: Maureen Ward, Patricia Daddario, and Kathleen Palladini of Massachusetts, as well as Eileen Ranieri of Jasper, Florida.
John was given military funeral honors and was laid to rest at the Tallahassee National Cemetery.
