John Calvin Scarbrough Sr.'s Obituary
John Calvin Scarbrough, Sr., 91, passed away January 17, 2026, at his home in Tallahassee, Florida.
Mr. Scarbrough was born February 16, 1934, in Tallahassee to Rev. Calvin and Bertie Scarbrough. He attended school in Leon County and became an electrician. He owned Collins and Scarbrough Electric for many years. He was a member of New Hope Primitive Baptist Church.
He was predeceased by his parents; his first wife, Carol L. Scarbrough; his brother, Kenneth Scarbrough; sisters, Clarice Wilks, Theresa Moore, and Claudette Vaughn; his second wife, Barbara Sue Scarbrough. He is survived by his son, John Scarbrough (Lynne), his daughter, Tonia; stepchildren, Debbie Glines (Tim); Edward (Susan) Spencer; David Spencer; Daniel Spencer and Angelia Sorensen. Also left to cherish his memory are his grandchildren, Barbara Sue and Robert Harrell, who provided excellent care for him during the last years of his life. Mr. Scarbrough is also survived by several great grandchildren.
