John Russell Parker's Obituary
John Russell Parker, born on November 5, 1948 in Geneva, New York, passed on October 4, 2021 at the Big Bend Hospice House in Tallahassee, Florida.
John was the son of H. William Parker and Anna P. Vopni. He was raised in North Syracuse, NY. John was much loved and will be missed by his two sisters, Judith Anne Parker and Siri Parker Whitmore, both residents of New York state.
His brother, William Scott Parker of Phoenix AZ, passed away in July of 2020.John was a favorite and fun uncle to Peter, Keira, Anna, Mark, John, Joel and Benjamin Whitmore(NY), as well as Morgan V. Parker(AZ).
John attended SUNY Cortland and resided there for twelve years. He then was a realtor in Cambridge, Massachusetts, for five years before finally settling in Gainesville, Florida where he was self-employed.
John enjoyed cycling, reading and spending time with friends. In lieu of flowers a gift can be made to the Alzheimer Association in John's honor.
