John "Jack" Harvey Umholts' Obituary
John (Jack) Umholts (85) of Tallahassee, FL died Friday night January 29th where he is now at peace with his son Michael.
Jack is survived by his wife Donna (Parr) Umholts of 62 years, his 2 daughters and son-in-law, Debra (& Duke) DeSpirito, Dawn Umholts, his grandchildren Jeremy (& Brosy) Johnson, Shane (& Brooke) Johnson, Shawn (& Tricia) Johnson, Amber May, Erick May and Elizabeth (& Michael) Patterson plus 6 great grandchildren.
For Jack’s 1st 29 years with Donna they devoted their life to farming in Indiana. For the next 31 years they both became district/regional supervisors for corporations & individuals in Florida, Mississippi, Georgia, Texas and Virginia. They were independent contractors in the management and operations of adult housing companies.
Prior to marrying Donna, Jack served 5 years in the Air Force, consisting of 2 years overseas during the Korean War. He was stationed in Rabat North Africa and received 2 honorable discharges as a staff sergeant and career guidance supervisor. He was a member of St Thomas Moore Catholic Church and of the American Legion. He will be missed by all.
