Joel Smith's Obituary
Joel Josiah Xavier Smith was born on Saturday, July 27, 2019, in Tallahassee, FL to Jeremiah and Angelique Smith. From the moment he came into the world, he was surrounded by love and given all the support he needed to thrive. Although Joel liked to do things his own way, he knew that everyone in his life was there to help him become the best version of himself.
In his five years of life, Joel brought an unimaginable amount of joy to his family, especially to his sister, Ja’Nyla, who adored him and shared many special moments with him. Joel was sweet, loving, adventurous, and sometimes mischievous, with an infectious personality and a laugh that could brighten even the gloomiest days. He loved the outdoors, especially the beach. He enjoyed music and instruments, painting, and all things Mickey Mouse. Joel always greeted you with a hug or a fist bump. There was never a dull moment with him.
On the evening of December 26, 2024, Joel passed away peacefully in his sleep, leaving an unexplainable void in the lives of his mother, father, and sister. He will be deeply missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
Visitation with Joel's family will be Friday, January 3, 2025, at 2 PM with a service to follow at 3 PM; Bevis Funeral Home chapel, 200 John Knox Rd., Tallahassee, Fl.
