Joanne M. Needham's Obituary
Joanne M. Needham passed away Wednesday, November, 10, 2021 at the Margaret Z. Dozier Hospice House with her family by her side.
She was born in Teaneck, NJ to Johannes Mueller and Elfriede Van Elken Mueller.
Joanne moved to Central Florida in 1982 and it was there that she and Rich raised their daughter Christine. Joanne was an active member of her church and a strong proponent of Christian Education. She worked in several schools over the years both in the classroom and also in the office. At home, she was a gracious host to family and friends and showed her love through cooking lavish meals.
In 2010, she and Rich moved to Tallahassee to be near their daughter, son-in-law and then 2 year old granddaughter. Over the next decade, despite increasing health challenges, Joanne enjoyed spending time with family and watching her granddaughter, who was her pride and joy, grow to the age of 13.
She was preceded in death by her two older brothers, Herbert Mueller and John Mueller. She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Rich Needham; her daughter and son-in-law Christine and Michael Samaan; her granddaughter Sarah Samaan; and two sisters-in-law, Laura Mueller and Carol Mueller.
A private graveside service will be held at MeadowWood Memorial Park.
Joanne was fiercely devoted to her family and maintained a fervent faith in God that He would direct her paths until the end.
“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” 2 Timothy 4:7
