Jim was born in Buffalo, NY on June 13, 1937 and moved to Tampa with his family as a child. He spent his early years in Tampa, FL and Baytown, TX. At the age of 17 Jim joined the United States Marine Corps and served honorably for 4 years. After leaving the military service his life carried him through the careers of being a fireman, and police officer. He spent 30 plus years in law enforcement earning the rank of Police Chief. He also held the position of Training Coordinator over the Saipan Police Training Academy in the Marianna Islands before retiring in 2001 from Florida law enforcement.
Jim loved reading, poetry and even writing poems of his own. He enjoyed golfing, trains and anything to do with WWII and Native American history. Jim and his daughter Rachel were like two peas in a pod. Jim loved life and loved to make people laugh. He was very proud of his military service as a Marine. He has found peace after a fulfilled life and is dancing once again in heaven.
