Jeannette Elaine Abbott's Obituary
Jeannette Elaine Abbott, age 35, of Tallahassee, FL, passed away unexpectedly on July 5,
2025. Jeannette was born on September 13, 1989, in Kokomo, IN and grew up in
Tallahassee.
She was known for her generous heart, infectious laugh, delicious recipes, and spoiling her
family. She shared a love of travel, history, and adventures with family and friends, and
spent her favorite days in the sunshine on a cruise ship, a sand bar, or somewhere in-
between, with her people. On September 27, 2017, Jeannette married Luke and together
they built a life she loved beyond measure.
She is survived by husband, Luke Abbott and daughter Summer Whitacre, parents, Debra
and Bryan Tom, Bob and Pam Abbott; siblings, Sharon Chapel (Terry), Daniel Abbott
(Wendy), and Jake Abbott (Carly); 4 aunts and uncles, 9 nieces and nephews, 5 grand-
nieces and nephews, fur-babies Huk and Bear. Jeannette was preceded in death by Aunt
Carole, Uncle Buddy, Uncles Ronnie and Donnie, nephew Matthew White, and friend Joey
Marks.
Jeannette will be remembered for her beautiful smile, kindness, unmatched sense of
humor, party hosting skills, and for the way she loved her family.
A celebration of life will be held on July 10th from 5pm – 8pm at Pa and Granna’s.
