Jean Little 's Obituary
Laura Jean Little, 77, of Quincy, passed away on February 9, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Little in 1989.
Jean was born in Bascom, FL and grew up in Faceville, GA. She moved to Quincy in 1960 and worked for the Gadsden County Times for 32 years. She also owned and operated The Little Flower Pot for many years. During this time she started her own catering business and began catering for the Rotary Club of Quincy and was honored as a Paul Harris Fellow out of appreciation for her service.
Jean was a hostess at First Presbyterian Church in Quincy and attended Greensboro United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star where she served as Grand Matron numerous times and was also the Grand Representative of Tennessee.
Survivors include two daughters, Natalie Little of Lanark Village; and Kimberly Rowan (Matt) of Quincy; two sisters-in-law, Dianne Little Martin of Cordele, GA; and Pam Hyatt Staples of Bainbridge; one grandson, Kevin Rowan of Aspen, CO; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 3:00pm on Sunday, February 11th at Greensboro United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. The interment will be at Hillcrest Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Big Bend Hospice.
