James "Jimmy" Glover's Obituary
James "Jimmy" Glover, 77, of Tallahassee, Florida, passed away on November 10, 2023. He was a loving son, father, grandfather, uncle, cousin, and friend. Jimmy was born on August 31, 1946, in Cairo, Georgia, and was the son of the late Alma Jeanette Miller of Whigham, Georgia.
Jimmy served in the Army during the Vietnam War, and his military associations were an important part of his life. After his military service, he dedicated his career to serving the community. After retiring from the City of Tallahassee, he joined Culley's Funeral Home, where he continued to help and support others during their difficult times. He also spent many years with KWB Pathology Associates.
In his free time, Jimmy enjoyed taking care of his dogs, particularly his beloved Bella and Buddy. He was an avid sports fan and loved the Florida State Seminoles. He also took pride in rooting for his granddaughters in softball and enjoyed cooking and grilling out. Jimmy had a green thumb and took great pleasure in maintaining his lawn. His kind heart and gentle soul were evident in his willingness to help others whenever he could.
Jimmy is survived by his son, Jason (Laura Lee) Glover, his daughters Jana (Daniel) McElroy and Amy (Josh Clark) Glover, as well as his grandchildren Hunter Clark, Haydon Clark, Holdon Clark, Kaylee McElroy, Reagan McElroy, Lincoln Glover, and his companion of many years Pamela Muscato.
A service with military honors, will be held at the Tallahassee National Cemetery, on March 8th at 11:00 AM. Tholley and Sarah Taylor with Lifesong are assisting the family with arrangements.
Jimmy's warm presence and caring nature will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. May his memory live on in the hearts of those he touched.
