James E. Hood Jr.'s Obituary
James E. Hood, Jr., 87, passed away on February 2, 2020 at his home in Havana. He was preceded in death by his parents James, Sr. and Ethel Moon Hood; and one brother, Fred Hood.
James was born in Westville, FL and grew up in Quincy. He attended the Talladega and St. Augustine School for the deaf and blind, graduating from the latter. He was a skilled leather worker, painter and oyster shucker.
Survivors include four siblings, Lois Dering of Havana; Bonnie Newsome of Quincy; Sarah Carr (William) of Havana; and Jerry Hood of Quincy.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, February 5th at Hillcrest Cemetery in Quincy, FL.
