Hubert Derwood Craft Jr.'s Obituary
With great sorrow, we announce the passing of Hubert “Derwood” Craft. Born on November 2nd, 1957, he lived in Plant City, Florida most of his life and had been living with his daughter and family in Tallahassee from 2023 until his passing on December 4th, 2024.
Derwood was a beloved father, son, and brother, whose warmth, kindness, and sense of humor touched everyone who knew him. Known for his love of music, Alabama football and his deep dedication to his family, Derwood brought joy and laughter to those around him.
Prior to his retirement in 2019, Derwood was a dedicated employee at The Home Depot for over 20 years, where he was respected for his hard work and commitment to his customers. Outside of work, he found immense happiness playing his 60s and 70s rock music loudly to incite a living room dance party. He could be found watching football, shouting Roll Tide and always stick the landing on a perfectly timed joke. These are precious moments/memories with his family that will be cherished forever.
He is survived by his 3 children, Michael Craft (Stacey), Allison Cintron (Jorge) and Steven Craft, his 7 grandchildren, Blake, Bailey, Angeline, Sammy, Jude, Stella, and Scarlett. His 2 Sisters, Becky Boling (Lester), Melissa Tarrant (Terry) and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 34 years, Mary Angeline Craft, Mother Alice Marie Craft and Father Hubert Derwood Craft Sr.
Memorial Services will be scheduled soon. Please continue to review the website for updated service information.
