Hazel Miles 's Obituary
Hazel Demarcey Miles, 76 years old of Tallahassee, Florida passed away on Saturday, December 31, 2016. Born April 30, 1940 in Maybeurry, West Virginia, she was the proud daughter of veteran and coal miner Leon and home maker Ora Demarcey. After leaving home, Hazel moved to Miami where she worked at the Eden Roc Hotel. After leaving Miami, Hazel moved to Cincinnati, Ohio for several years before settling in Tallahassee, Florida in 1972. She retired 7 years ago from a local non-profit agency where she had worked for almost 20 years. She is pre-deceased by both of her parents as well as brothers Tony, June, Robert, William, Jerry and sister Angeline. She is survived by two sisters, Myrtle Cook (Florida) and Lois Little (Virginia); brother, Don Demarcey (Washington); sister in love Stella Yates (Florida); two children, Frank Miles (Florida) and Pam Hart (Tallahassee); two grandchildren – Seth Hart (Georgia) and Amber Hart (Florida), 4 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews whom she cared for deeply. After retiring, Hazel enjoyed spending time with her family and friends at Westminster Garden where she was well loved. She also enjoyed sewing, music, old movies, bible class and bingo. Cremation services were provided by Lifesong in Quincy, Florida and private family services will be held in the spring in West Virginia.
