Hazel Patricia Burkhead's Obituary
Hazel Patricia Burkhead went home to be with the Lord Jesus Christ at the age of 87. She was born August 23, 1933, in Greensboro, North Carolina, and loved drawing floor plans for big houses, building cabinets, painting, horses, teaching Sunday School, singing in the choir, and she adored big family gatherings. She raised her 7 children by herself and was preceded in death by daughters Pamela Tesh Kearns and Patricia Diane Goodrich and son Robert Christopher Tesh. She is survived by her 4 remaining children Angela Prevatt Dodson, Michael Anthony Tesh, Tina Marie Gordon, and Shelton Timothy Tesh, 14 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and her 2 brothers RW Burkhead Jr. and James Craig Burkhead.
Friends may visit on Saturday, November 28, from 2-3 pm, at New Philadelphia Presbyterian Church (746 South Adams Street, Quincy, Florida). The memorial service will begin at 3 pm with Pastor Matthew Creamer officiating. Masks are required and social distancing will be observed. Interment, at Hilcrest Cemetery in Quincy, Florida, will immediately follow.
The family suggest memorial contributions be made in her honor to New Philadelphia Presbyterian Church for missions.
