Harold Truman Smith's Obituary
Harold Truman Smith, 85, of Tallahassee, passed away at his home on September 5, 2022. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Gena Smith.
Harold was the son of Thomas and Emma Smith. He was a graduate of Winamac High School, and as a teenager enjoyed singing in the Smith Brothers Quartet. He also enjoyed the fun activities of the Church of the Nazarene as a youth, and his love for the Lord was evident even then. He graduated from Olivet Nazarene College, where he earned his Masters in Computer and Accounting.
Harold worked for Scotts Grass Seed Co. in Maryville, OH for 16 years. He then relocated to Grosse Ile, MI and worked for BASF Corporation in Wyandotte, and was one of the top computer technicians there. He loved living on Grosse Ile, where he enjoyed all of the boating activities, and also playing horseshoes and ping-pong. Harold was a member of the Nazarene Church in Trenton, MI.
He later moved to Tallahassee, FL, where he retired from the State of Florida as a Computer Engineer.
Harold is survived by his wife Gena Smith of Tallahassee; his three children, Dan Smith, of Tallahassee, Pamela Musso of Covington, LA and Christine Brune of Slidell, LA; six grandchildren, Danny Joe Smith, Derek Bordelon, Madi Bordelon, Tina McAllister, Allie Cuvitier, and Brittany Heron; and four great-grandchildren, Brandan Franzone, McKenzie McAllister, Marie Ann Cuvitier and Lilly Anna Smith. Harold loved his family very much.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Killearn United Methodist Church in Tallahassee, FL on Saturday, September 24, 2022 at 11:00am.
