Gregory Keith Griffin's Obituary
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Gregory Keith Griffin on December 29, 2024. Greg was a beloved father, brother, uncle, and friend who touched the lives of many with his kindness, generosity, and loving spirit.
Greg is survived by his loving partner, Laurie Evitt; daughter, Haley Tompkins, and grandchildren, Rhiannon, Griff and John Neil Tompkins; Van, Lynn, Dyllyn and Evan Griffin; Josh Evitt, Jennifer Primm, Pam Nelms, Rex Griffin, and John Griffin. He was preceded in death by Wade Griffin and Kathleen Griffin.
Greg was a talented musician and surfer who always appreciated the simple things in life. Born in Quitman, Georgia, November 21, 1961, he lived a life full of love, adventure, and devotion to family and friends.
To pay homage to his love of the sea and passion for music, services for Greg will announced at a later date. We hope to fulfill his final request and reunite his remains with the ocean. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Florida State University School of Arts & Sciences on his behalf.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to those who have provided prayers and support. Greg will be dearly missed but his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. Rest in peace.
