George Frederick Sheffler's Obituary
George F Sheffler, age 82, of Tallahassee, Florida, passed away Sunday April 2, 2023 at his home under the loving care of his family.
George was born in Kingston, Pennsylvania October 4, 1940, to George and Augusta Sheffler. He graduated from Kingston High School in 1958 and attended Pennsylvania State University where he graduated with a BS in Microbiology in 1963. He moved to Michigan in 1964 and began working at Gerber Products Company in Fremont as a Quality Control Inspector. George married Sandra (Ruuspakka) in 1971 and worked at Gerber for 36 years before retiring in 1999. In his spare time, he enjoyed gardening, stamp collecting, and being at the family farm in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. He loved spending time with his grandkids in Florida and New Mexico. George was a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Fremont, Michigan.
George is survived by his wife of 52 years, Sandra, two children, Rebecca (Greg) Parrish of Tallahassee, Florida, Keith (Han) Sheffler of Rio Rancho, New Mexico, along with three grandchildren Jacob Parrish; Kaden and Kyler Sheffler.
