SCPO George Edgar Bullard, (Ret.) 81, of Tallahassee, passed away on October 5, 2023.
George was born in Augusta, GA to Ima Lilly Yelton Bullard and David A. Bullard, March 20, 1942. He was married to Angela Marie Lazzaro Bullard and together they had 6 children (3 each), Nancy Cusmano Shank (Tim), Wendy Ann Griner, Kevin Bullard (Kelly), Debbie Cusmano Kest (Brian) and Amy Bullard Merrell (Grant). He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, David Bullard. George (Papa as we called him) had 11 grandchildren, Jennifer, John, Tyler, Kyle, Taylor, Sarah, Justin, Brandon, Mckenzie, Lorenza and Trey, and several great grandchildren, who loved him dearly.
George was a retired Senior Chief Petty Officer in the U.S. Navy. He had an illustrious career with the Federal Government, working on the Mayport Navy Base from which he would retire. He LOVED his Helicopter Simulators, which he worked on for over 20 years.
He was an avid outdoorsman including hunting, boating, and fishing. He spent many years living on and enjoying the St. Johns River. He absolutely loved to be on the water. In his later years, the History Channel was his passion and he watched it as often as he could. "You can never get enough history."
Papa is in heaven with his son David and smiling down on his loved ones. We will miss you Dad, George, and Papa!!
