Galen Everett's Obituary
Galen Everett age 89 of Crawfordville, Fl. Formerly of Evergreen Park/Chicago, IL
passed away Sunday, June 19, 2016. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Helen
Everett (nee Johnson).
Galen was a graduate of Tilden Technical High School, class of 1945. In 1946 Galen joined
the Air Force and was stationed in Japan. After the Service, Galen attended Morgan Park
Academy Junior College, where he met his loving wife Helen Marie Johnson. Galen and Helen
wed in May of 1952 at Our Lady Of Peace Catholic Church. Galen worked for Western Electric
from 1955 and retired from Lucent Technologies in 1987.
Galen came to Crawfordville, Florida in Jan 2010 to stay the winter with his Daughter. He
made so many friends and enjoyed the Wakulla Senior Center that he decided to make
Crawfordville his permanent home.
Galen is survived by his five daughters; Susan (David) Howell, Mary (the late Lawrence)
Misiolek, Nancy (James) Foody, Jean Miller and Linda (Andrew) Nilles. Grandchildren; Jeffrey
(Rachel) Misiolek, Brian Misiolek (significant other Julie Gilbert), Michael Foody, Megan
Foody, Daniel Foody, Edward Miller, Patrick Miller, Samuel Nilles, Charles Nilles, 2 Great-
Granddaughters, Evelyn Misiolek, Eleanor Misiolek and Great-Grandson Keller Misiolek. Galen
has numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Galen is reunited in eternity with Helen.
In lieu of flowers,memorials in his name may be made to Big Bend Hospice, Wakulla County

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday, August 13, 2016 at Most Holy Redeemer
