Felix Lamar Faircloth Sr.'s Obituary
Felix Faircloth, age 83, of Greensboro passed away at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital on Thursday, September 13, 2018
Felix was born May 22, 1935 in Donalsonville, GA., the 4th of 6 children born to Henry Wendle Faircloth & Ruth Wilson.
Living most of his life in Gadsden Co. FL. He retired from The Woodmen Of The World Life Insurance Society after 30 years of being a Field Representative and Area Manager.
A lot of the members that he cared so much about still relied on him for his knowledge & service up to his last days. He was a Deacon at Greensboro First Baptist
and had been active with the Town Of Greensboro Beautification Committee for many years. In years past, he worked with Cub Scouts and the R.A.'s (Royal Ambassadors).
He was a man of integrity, did what he said he would do, and did it when he said he would do it. As one of his friends recently said, "If you don't like Felix Faircloth, somethings wrong with you."
He enjoyed yard work, visiting with people, and loved seeing his grandchildren playing around the yard on his scooters and golf cart.
Preceding him through the Pearly Gates are his parents, brother Willie, sisters Dorothy Allman, Evelyn Widner McLendon, Zue Molton, Beth, Bonnie Hart, half brother Henry (Bubba) Faircloth,
his wife of 25 years and mother of his 5 children, Mae Thursby, son Felix L. (Marty) Faircloth, daughter Margie Yvonne Hatcher House, great granddaughter Eleanor Yvonne Austin,
He is survived by his children Dinah Gail Faircloth, Keith L. Faicloth (Shelia), Marvin L. Faircloth (Nita), 13 grands, 32 great grands, 3 great great grands, and host of nieces and nephews
Visitation will be Friday, September 14, 2018 at Greensboro First Baptist Church, Greensboro, FL.
Services were held on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at Greensboro First Baptist Church with Rev. John Forsman & Rev. Jason Snider officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that expressions of sympathy take the form of
contributions to Big Bend Hospice.
