Emma Jean Ferguson's Obituary
It is with profound sadness that I share the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother, Emma Jean Ferguson, who departed from this world September 18, 2024 at the age of 84. She was surrounded by loved ones at the time of her passing.
In her younger years she enjoyed motorcycle rides, fast cars, and traveling. She loved walks along the beach, collecting seashells, arts and crafts, she made beautiful dolls. She enjoyed crocheting, drawing and had the most beautiful handwriting. She was an ordained minister and would visit the local jails and prisons to minister to those in need. She loved the lord and would spread the gospel to all who would listen, even those not so inclined. Even though she could be a little eccentric at times, Emma Jean had the best intentions and the biggest heart. Though her absence leaves a void in our hearts, she is at peace and in her eternal resting place with her lord and savior, Jesus Christ.
She was preceded in death by her mother Rossie Edell Downs (Mclane), her father Robert Cleveland Ferguson, brothers Hugh Fain “Spooky” Ferguson, Sr., Charles Ferguson, and Paul Henry Pruitt and her daughter Annette Braswell.
She is survived by son Harry Dana Braswell, Jr,(missing) her daughter Charlestine Grace Ray and son William Bruce Braswell (Theresa Braswell). Her four grandchildren, Misty Blue Windham (Marcus Walker), Crystal Lynn Wynia (Robert Wynia, II) Jamie Michelle Webber (Christopher Webber) and Brittany Caitlin Ray (Clayton Ralph). Ten Great grandchildren; Amber, Raymond, Macari, Aubree, Tiffany, Robert Wynia, III, Roisin, Neila, Finn and Imogene and two great-great grandchildren Maisie and Dakota, along with nieces, and great nieces and nephews.
We will love and cherish our memories of her always.
A memorial service for family and close friends will be held soon.
