Elsy Margarita Chavez's Obituary
Elsy Margarita Chavez, 71 went home to be with the Lord in her home on Tuesday, June 13 at 8:09 PM surrounded by her daughters, and family friends.
Elsy was born on September 28, 1951 to Jose Roger Chavez and Marta A. de Chavez. Survivors include her mother, Marta A. de Chavez, her daughters Ruby (Roberto) Batres, Marta (Ricardo) Rodriguez, along with her eight grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Elsy was preceded in death by her father, Jose Roger Chavez, her brother Rolando Chavez, and her two sons, Luis Alexander, and Roger Daniel.
Elsy accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her Savior and was very at peace knowing that she was approaching the end of her life. Elsy loved her children and grandchildren. She worked hard so that she could immigrate her daughters and their families so they could live a better life in the United States of America. Elsy practiced the art of Feng Shui in her everyday life, and was driven by her entrepreneurial spirit as she maintained her own small business and pursued other opportunities. Elsy loved to bake, cook, sew and be a loving grandma to her grandchildren. She enjoyed listening to music, laughing, and spending time around the people she loved.
Visitation and funeral services will take place on Sunday, June 18 from 4:00-8:00PM at the Lifesong Funerals and Cremations located at 20 S Duval Street, Quincy, FL 32351.
