Elease Carr Ray's Obituary
Elease Carr Ray, 94, of Tallahassee, died in peaceful sleep on Monday, November 7th . Born in Felda and a long-time resident of Citra, Florida, Elease spent the majority of her life in Tallahassee. She graduated from FSU, and with her husband, Dick, raised four daughters here: Sandra, Debra, Suzanne, and Jennifer. She is predeceased by Dick and Sandra. Survivors include daughters Debra Ray, Suzanne (Ann) Ray, and Jennifer (Nancy) Ray, all of Tallahassee, and numerous beloved nieces and nephews. Elease was an accountant for FSU, served as a recorder for the Florida Legislature, delivered Meals On Wheels, and attended John Wesley Methodist Church. She was a wonderful cook, lovingly generous and will be fondly remembered for her gentle ways. This, and her kind eyes and warm smile earned her the nickname “Easy.”
A memorial service will be held at Advent Episcopal Chapel 815 Piedmont Drive, Tallahassee,
on Friday, December 2nd at 10:30 am. In lieu of flowers, charitable donations may be made to Hospice or Canine Companions of SW Florida.
