Doris Veronica Lee 's Obituary
Doris Veronica Lee, 63, passed away at the Big Bend Hospice House in Tallahassee, Fl., on January 20, 2016. She fought a long and courageous battle with cancer and is now with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Doris was born on February 1, 1952 into a military family at Fort McPherson in East Point Georgia to J.C. Fuqua and Johanna Hain, both deceased. She graduated from Jonesboro High School in 1970. Prior to graduation, she began her career in the banking and credit union industry where she retired in January 2013.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Wes, a son, James (Cobie) and a daughter Tiffany.
She is also survived by a brother Joe Fuqua (Cindy) and a sister Ursula MacDowell (Fred).
Doris loved her Lord Jesus, her family, and her puppies. She was a wonderful and dedicated mother and wife, always thinking of others and never of herself.
There will be a Celebration of Life held on Saturday, February 6, 2016, at 3:00 p.m. at Lake Ellen Baptist Church in Crawfordville, Fl. Pastor Keith Wallace will officiate. Tholley Taylor with Lifesong Funerals & Cremations (www.lifesongfunerals.com or 850.627.1111) is assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Big Bend Hospice, 1723 Mahan Center Blvd., Tallahassee, FL 32308.
